Wisconsin Eddie - 2017

Named for Ed Burton, who not-so-wisely sells seeds he should keep & grow himself. Ed had always been touting on Persian Ruby & Rob Cobb, often telling me to get them. I got seeds from him instead. Out of the 6 he sent, grew this gorgeous creature. In order to give credit where credit is due, it is aptly named for the man who lives in Wisconsin & made the cross.

This is a dark blood red, diamond dusted, monster bloom, with a large cadmium yellow throat, having a trace of green at the base. Darker veining is noted on the petals. Gorgeous dormant foliage, & very strong scapes. It is incredibly colorfast & has strong garden presence. Pollen good. Pod difficult, but not impossible.
